Shop ‘n Save Pittsburgh Area Coupon Matchups 9/1-9/7…Stockpile some Chipped Ham, Shredded Cheese, Smoked Sausage, Ortega Products, KC BBQ Sauce and More!!

If you’re in the market to stock up on some cheap chipped ham, Smoked Sausage, Top Sirloin Steaks, shredded cheese, Heluva Good dips, sugar, Ortega Taco products and more, Shop ‘n Save has some good deals for you this week!

Remember: Become familiar with your local Shop ‘n Save’s coupon policies! They can vary greatly because these stores are all independently owned and managed! What you can usually count on:

  • Double coupons up to 99 cents
  • DOES NOT double internet coupons (I have had some readers tell me their store does not even TAKE internet coupons. Period.)
  • Usually a limit on how many “like” coupons you can use (my store has a limit of 4)
  • Does not accept BOGO internet coupons, or internet coupons above a certain dollar amount (usually $3 or $4 being the highest, depending on the store) Note: Some of my readers have recently reported that their local Shop ‘n Save does indeed double internet coupons…if yours does please leave me a comment on this post so I can compile a list for everyone!

That being said, I have heard they are trying to become more competitive in their policies, so maybe the evil, unnecessary restrictions against poor, defenseless internet coupons will change soon. Let’s all cross our fingers!

My Favorite Deals This Week

  • Farmland Chip-Chopped Ham is only $1.99/lb (stock up for a few weeks and freeze it for lunches…we like this brand even better than Isaly’s! I know, I know…how UN-PITTSBURGH!)
  • Boneless Center Cut Pork Chops are only $1.99/lb
  • Heluva Good Shredded/Chunk cheese is only $1-$1.50 (depending on your store’s internet coupon policy)
  • Ortega Taco Dinner Kits are only $1.25 (get other Ortega products as low as 40 cents each!)
  • Domino Sugar (5 lb) is only $2
  • KC Masterpiece BBQ sauce is only 50 cents

Coupon Matchups

Ball Park Franks are BOGO (exact price not listed)

  • Use the 75 cents/2 coupon from the 8/7 RedPlum insert to get these at a great price!

Hillshire Farms Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage (1 lb) are BOGO

  • Use 2 55 cents off 1 Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage from the 8/28 SmartSource or 1 75 cents/2 Hillshire Farms Smoked Sausage from the 8/14 Redplum insert
  • Exact price wasn’t listed, but I’m guessing they’re close to $4 each. That would mean 2 for $4, minus $2.20 worth of coupons (if you have 2 of the 55 cents/1 coupons) and you’re looking at getting them for 90 cents each when you buy 2!

Heluva Good Shredded or Chunk Cheese is 2/$4 (or $2 each)

Heluva Good Sour Cream or Dips are 3/$5 ($1.66 each)

  • Again, use the 50 cents/1 Heluva Good coupon link above to get them for 66 cents to $1.16 each

Tropicana Pure Premium OJ is $4.49

  • Use the $1/1 coupon from the September issue of All You Magazine to get it for $3.49

Hot Pockets Snackers are 2/$6

Buy 6 of the Following Products, and Save $3 Instantly

  • Clorox Ultra Laundry Bleach is $1.89 (use 25 cents/1 coupon from the 8/21 SmartSource)
  • Gladware Containers are 2/$6 (use the $1/2 Glad product coupon from the 8/21 SmartSource)
  • Glad Cling Wrap is $2.29 (use the $1/2 Glad product coupon from the 8/21 SmartSource)
  • Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are 2/$6 (use the 25 cents/1 Clorox Wipes coupon from the 8/21 SmartSource)
  • KC Masterpiece BBQ Sauce is 2/$4 (use the 50 cents/1 KC BBQ coupon form the 8/21 SmartSource)
  • Hidden Valley Salad Dressings are $3.49 (use the $1/1 Hidden Valley coupon from the 8/21 SmartSource)

You could work this deal several ways depending on what you need for the week, but I think most of it is overpriced even after the coupon discounts…you could do better at another store or another time on most of these items. However, the KC BBQ Sauce deal isn’t bad, and the if you wanted to add a couple Clorox bleaches in the mix, you’d still be getting a good deal:

  • Buy 6 KC BBQ Sauce for $12
  • Use 6 50 cents/1 coupon (will double) now paying $6
  • Get $3 off instantly at the register, so pay only $3, or get each BBQ Sauce for only 50 cents each

If you added 2 Clorox bleaches, and bought 4 KC BBQ sauces instead of 6, it would only up your total by under 80 cents, so if you need some bleach, go for it!!

Domino Sugar is on sale for 2/$6 (5 lb bag)

  • Use 50 cents/1 coupon from the 8/28 RedPlum coupon insert to get them for $2 each

Tyson Boneless Chicken (patties, tenders and nuggets) are 2/$7

  • Use the $1/1 Tyson Frozen Chicken Nuggets coupon from the September All You Magazine to get them for $2.50 each

Buy $10 in Ortega Products, save $3 Instantly

  • Taco Dinner Kits 2/$5
  • Refried Beans 2/$3
  • Salsa 2/$4
  • Taco Sauce 2/$5
  • Taco Seasoning 79 cents
  • Taco Shells 2/$4

Again, this deal can be worked several ways depending on what you need or like to eat. You can use either the $1/2 Ortega Taco Shells coupon from the September All You magazine, or this Printable coupon from Ortega.com for $1/2 ANY Ortega products. A couple deal ideas:

  • Buy 4 Taco Dinner Kits ($10)
  • Use 2 $1/2 coupons ($8)
  • Save $3 instantly at checkout ($5)
  • Get 4 Taco Dinner Kits for $5, or only $1.25 each (add a little ground meat you found at a great price, and you’re looking at a complete meal for around $3…fast, cheap and easy! Just how I like it 😉 )

OR:

  • Buy 2 Taco Shells, 2 Refried Beans, and 4 Taco Seasonings ($10.16)
  • Use 4 of the $1/2 coupons ($6.16)
  • Save $3 instantly at the register ($3.16)
  • Pay only $3.16 for 8 items, or around 40 cents each!! Add your ground meat and all those extra taco bell sauce packets you have laying around the house in a forgotten kitchen drawer or cupboard somewhere, and you’re ready to rock out Mexican-American style on the super-cheap!)

Dove or Degree Invisible Solid Deodorant is 2/$6

  • Use the 75 cents/1 Degree mens or womens anti-antiperspirant/deodorant coupon from the 8/28 RedPlum and get them for $1.50 each (I say you can do better at a drugstore next week, but if your pits are stinkin’, go for it!)

Kellogg’s Pop tarts are 5/$10

  • Buy 3, and use 1 $1/3 Kellogg’s pop tarts coupon from the 8/28 RedPlum
  • Get 3 boxes for $5, or $1.66 each
